Instructions
Please review Precautions page before moving on.  Clean thoroughly removing dirt, grease, pebbles, sand, and leftover goos. Sandpaper works well. Dry area of sole.  Do not use solvents. Open and carefully  puncture adhesive tube as directed  before proceeding.

Avoid contact with adhesive. Use needle nose pliers or tweezers and gloves provided.  Adhesive must be applied to both sole and patch.  Adhesive has about a 45 second bonding window. Replace adhesive tube cap ASAP.

The best time to install patches is after the shoes are well-worn and the sole is smooth, but before holes appear in the sole.

First decide where patches are to be placed on the worn shoes  The three patches for each tennis shoe are labeled T, B, and H, for toe, ball of foot, and heel respectively, usually the three most worn areas for tennis players.  Runners',  walkers', and skateboarders' shoes wear are easily repaired by shaping patches to specific areas of sole.  Use sharp scissors if patch is to be modified.

For tennis shoes:  Starting with the toe patch labeled "T", position the patch, rubber side down, so the rounded edge conforms to rounded edge of shoe sole in the toe area near the sidewall. Press patch firmly so full contact is made with sole. Outline the patch with a felt tip marker.  This will be the area to apply adhesive. Keeping the patch level, grab the patch, cloth side down at the edge with needle nose pliers or tweezers.  Place small drops of adhesive every  1/8" on the rubber side along the patch's edge/perimeter and then spiral the drops inward to the patch's center, making sure a drop is laced in each patch hole. Spread adhesive into a   thin layer. Keeping the sole level, apply a thin layer of adhesive to the sole of the shoe within  the previously outlined area, avoiding the hollows of the tread.  Use adhesive tip for spreading. Within a few seconds flip rubber side of patch onto the outlined glued area of the sole.  Use craft stick (supplied) to hold patch in temporary position while withdrawing (wiggling) needle nose or tweezers. Finalize patch position in outlined area by applying strong, balanced pressure using a wood block,  other non-stick object. for at least 60 seconds.  Make sure edges of patch get pressure.  Both the patch and the sole require adhesive.  Do not apply too much adhesive.  Apply patch to sole as quickly as possible to maximize adhesive properties. Any unsecured edges can be bonded by placing a few drops in the on the edge and applying pressure.

After bonding the toe patch locate B patch at the worn ball of foot area. Outline the patch.  Again, holding the patch level,  deposit drops every 1/8" around the rubber side edge  of the B patch and  spiral drops to the center.  Holding the shoe level place drops every 1/8' in the outlined  sole area area. Flip glued patch, rubber side down, onto outlined and glued sole area. Withdraw needle nose, while holding position with craft stick.  Apply pressure for 60 seconds with wood block.

Finally find the worn area of the heel (usually the outside heel area) and similarly outline, glue, position, and apply pressure with wood block.

Without touching sole or patch, inspect edges of patch ensuring good contact everywhere. Any unsecured areas can be bonded with a few drops of adhesive at the junction of the patch and sole (edge).  Apply pressure for 60 more seconds. Wait 5 minutes before resuming tennis play
Runners and walkers will follow similar procedures, except patching positions will be different.
The patches will last for dozens of play hours and hundreds of running or walking miles without any further maintenance.  The patch is  the thickness of the original sole. The slight difference in elevation due to the patch will not be sensed. In fact, you have restored the original sole thickness and will feel extra anatomical comfort.

For  toe dragger's, running shoe, or other special situations  please email support@10stoe.com in order to adjust the patch configuration for your specific needs.

Thanks.
